Beckton provides easy access to many live entertainment venues, being just a short hop from both ExCel London and the O2 Arena, home to a huge range of events from sports to music to conferences. Just a 5-minute drive away is the Brick Lane Music Hall, offering traditional music hall bills as well as freshly devised productions.

A sense of adventure

Not for the faint-hearted is Outdoors in the City, providing a range of activities including abseiling, orienteering, BMX and more. Scale the O2 to enjoy spectacular 360 views of London from the viewing platform in its roof. Get Wet & Wild at the Waterfront Leisure Centre in Woolwich, with diving boards, floats, waves and slides. Cross the River Thames between Greenwich Peninsula and the Royal Docks on the Emirates Air Line.

Green spaces

Though just minutes from the centre of London, there is still plenty of green space in and around Beckton. East Ham Nature Reserve is one of the largest churchyards in London, and home to many different species of birds, insects and lizards. Visit the Thames Barrier Park and stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens, visit the Pavilion of Remembrance commemorating local people who died in the Second World War, and enjoy dramatic views of the Thames Flood Barrier.
