Keep swinging at Kings Walk Shopping Mall

Just a five minute walk from the Sloane Square Tube station is Kings Walk Shopping Mall on the iconic King's Road in Chelsea. Originally opened in the 1960s when the area was at the heart of Swinging London, but it was revamped in the 1980s and is now home to a variety of high street names and exclusive brands.

Saatchi's artistic endeavour

Culture vultures will make a beeline for the Saatchi Gallery. Opened in 1985 by Charles Saatchi to showcase his vast modern art collection, it has had several homes, eventually moving into the Duke of York's Headquarters on the King's Road in Chelsea in 2008. Works by members of the YBA - Young British Artists - such as Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin can be seen here.

Potions, pills and plants in the heart of Chelsea

Established as the Apothecaries' Garden on the banks of the River Thames in 1673, the Chelsea Physic Garden showcases an impressive range of around 5,000 plants with medicinal, edible and other useful properties. A peaceful afternoon learning more about them can be spent here by visitors.
