Frank's Cafe and rooftop bar is a great place for the summer. Persepolis offers hard-to-find Persian ingredients and has its own best-selling cookbook, or head to Rye Lane for plenty of street food-type snacks.

If you're more old school, then try Dulwich Picture Gallery for classical art, or the South London Gallery for something more contemporary. The Peckhamplex is a much-loved local cinema.
