Aigburth - Liverpool's sophisticated suburb

Situated to the south of Liverpool, Aigburth is one of Liverpool's more affluent areas and is bordered by similar suburbs such as Mossley Hill and Sefton Park. It is home to Liverpool Cricket Club and stretches out past beautiful Otterspool Park and the picturesque promenade that shares its name, as well as lining the banks of the River Mersey.

Sefton Park - be at one with nature

Only a 6-minute drive from Aigburth, Sefton Park is a gorgeous place of natural beauty, found in the district of the same name. At 235 acres in size, you'll want to put aside some time to really explore this stunning area, including the Victorian bandstand believed to have inspired the Beatles to create Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. There are regular events in Palm House, including the Liverpool Gin Festival, and with the backdrop of Sefton Park, it makes for the perfect wedding venue.

Take a taxi tour of Beatles-related sights and sounds

Liverpool is of course synonymous with the Fab Four, and close by Aighburth are several taxi tours that drive you round aspects of Liverpool that are closely linked to John, Paul, George and Ringo. Tours include former family homes and of course the Cavern Club, where the band first gained a homegrown following after their tour of Hamburg in Germany.
