A compact town with lots to offer

Less than 15 minutes from historic Wellingborough, the Northamptonshire town of Rushden sits by the River Nene and is sprinkled with pocket parks. Its main shopping street has all the high street favourites, as well as a fair share of interesting independents, selling anything from traditional sweets to antiques. Head to the Rushden Transport Museum, or the well-equipped Rushden Museum to peruse local artefacts that will give you a glimpse into what this town is all about.

Take a shopping trip to Rushden Lakes

The Rushden Lakes complex opened in 2017 and combines shopping, food and leisure, while celebrating the beautiful surroundings that Rushden is famous for. After browsing the high street shops, such as House of Fraser, New Look and JD Sports, take a break and have lunch on the boardwalk overlooking the tranquil lake. If the kids get bored of the shops, go and explore the surroundings by foot, bike or boat, with more than a square mile of wetlands and woodlands.

Spoilt for choice

Rushden is a compact town with a lot going on. As well as its shopping possibilities and abundance of parks and green spaces, the town serves up lots of choice when it comes to great value cafes, restaurants and bars. Try Blue Corner Cafe on the High Street for some great home-cooked treats. Looking for a cheap hotel Near Rushden?
