A sporting destination
While it’s only a mile outside of the major attractions of Nottingham city centre, West Bridgford has an identity that’s all its own. Just south of the River Trent, it’s a popular destination for sports fans as the home of Nottingham Forest’s City Ground and Trent Bridge international cricket ground. It’s also got the National Water Sports Centre where you can try your hand at kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and more.

Leafy Bridgford Park is one of the area’s true gems. This Victorian open space has a tree trail, fitness trail and junior and teenage play areas. You can hire tennis courts and there’s a café too.
