Beeston Marina is a tranquil area to go for a wander, and you can enjoy a refreshing cuppa in the boathouse cafe, while Broadgate Park is a lovely place to spread out with a picnic.

Follow in Batman's footsteps at Wollaton Hall

Set in a deer park, this spectacular Elizabethan country house famously doubled as Wayne Manor for the 2012 Batman film Dark Knight Rises. Entry to the hall is free, but there's a small charge to park your car.
