Getting away from it all

A small village and civil parish in Surrey, Chiddingfold is the home of Chiddingfold Forest, a site of special scientific interest for its rare butterflies. It's a great place to visit if you're looking to get out of the city for a day, or if you're looking for an excuse to leave the house for the weekend and get some peace and quiet in the countryside.

Flames and fireworks

If you are visiting Chiddingfold in November then make sure to attend the annual bonfire night event. This has grown from a simple village bonfire event to one that draws up to ten thousand visitors. The now famous fireworks display is preceded by the spectacle of a torchlit procession that's not to be missed.

Fantastic beasts and woodland walks

Take a day out at The Sculpture Park, for a walk through its magical forest where you will find surprises around every corner. From dragons and wolves to bizarre and abstract sculptures the park is full of imagination and features the world's largest all year sculpture exhibition.
