Alexander Stadium - on the right track

The Alexander Stadium in Perry Barr, Birmingham, first opened in 1976 and ever since has been expanding and improving, with the biggest additions manned in 2011 before more plans were made for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, where it is expected to play a big role. It already hosts the annual British Grand Prix as well as other high-profile championships, and frequently stages pop concerts.

Explore the area

All around the Stadium there are places for athletics aficionados to burn off a few calories, from Nearby Perry Park and Perry Hall Park - ideal for a jog - to the Gymnastics and Martial Arts Centre and Beeches Pool and Fitness Centre.
