The heart of the action at Birmingham New Street Station

As Birmingham's biggest and most-used station, New Street is centred in the heart of the city. It's a ten-minute walk to the Mailbox, while upstairs, the station is connected to the Bullring by a corridor.

You're no more than half an hour from some of Birmingham's most popular attractions, including the Hippodrome and the Jewellery Quarter - even less if you take the city's new tram network across town.

Enjoy retail therapy at Grand Central

When Birmingham unveiled its brand-new New Street Station, it also introduced another fantastic shopping destination to the city: Grand Central. With over 40 shops and 20 restaurants, it's a shopping and lifestyle hub perfect for browsing while you're waiting for your train.

As well as the usual high street shops, you'll find quirky stores like Oliver Bonas, as well as popular champagne bar Fizz Bars. It's the perfect place to start your day before a shopping trip in the city.

London in less than 90 minutes

Birmingham's well known for its great transport connections across the UK, and from New Street you can get almost anywhere in the country. London is less than an hour and a half away, with some trains reaching Euston in just over an hour - perfect for a day trip to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
