Please wear a face mask. Following government guidelines, all guests are required to wear face coverings whilst in public areas of the hotel such as reception, lifts, stairs and corridors.
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams. We want to create an environment where everyone has peace of mind - whether you are staying or working with us.
So we have created TravelodgeProtect+, a programme of cleaning and social distancing measures, designed to keep our guests and teams safe. The programme has been developed by a dedicated cross functional hygiene strategy team and has become the basis for our new way of working.
All of our Travelodge hotels in the UK are adopting the following practices in line with Government guidance:
Cleaning using antiviral disinfectant effective against Coronavirus; certified to European standards EN1276 & EN14476
Increased cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms
Additional post clean room checks with digital tracking in place to ensure consistently high standards
All linen and towels thermally disinfected
Customer hand sanitiser stations in key locations
Comprehensive training of every hotel team member on cleaning, hygiene and social distancing
Social distancing measures throughout the hotel
Reception distancing floor signage and protective screens at check in
To minimise contact, housekeeping teams will not enter bedrooms during your stay
Contactless payment available
Contact free check out

Yes. As part of the Government's contact tracing programmes (known as Test and Trace in England, Test & Protect in Scotland and Test Trace Protect in Wales) it is a requirement to provide contact details for every guest, over the age of 16, who is booked to stay at Travelodge before you check in to the hotel.
You will receive an email from us either requesting the contact details for everyone in your booking, or where the booking has been made for one person we will email you confirmation of the contact details we have for you.
If you arrive at the hotel without providing contact details you will be asked to provide these at Reception before you check in.
Please note, as it is a mandatory Government requirement for customers staying in hotels in England and Wales to provide contact details, check in will be refused if these are not provided.
To minimise contact with rooms our housekeeping teams will not enter your bedroom during your stay unless you are staying more than six nights. If you require additional tea and coffee or towels during your stay, please ask a member of our team who will be happy to help.
Our housekeeping team will not enter your room until after you check out, unless you are staying for more than six nights when your room will be cleaned automatically on the seventh day of your stay. If you do not wish to have your room cleaned at all during your stay, please place the Do Not Disturb hanger outside your room.
Our hotel teams are cleaning using antiviral disinfectant proven to kill Coronavirus; and which is certified to European standards EN1276 & EN14476. Our teams are increasing the cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms such as switches, handles and soft furnishings. All linen and towels are thermally disinfected after every stay.
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams. We want to create an environment where everyone has peace of mind - whether you are staying or working with us. We have strict processes in place that our hotel teams follow when they arrive for work or if they start to show symptoms or if they cannot come in to work.
There is a communication displayed in every room clearly outlining our safety procedures and actions our guests must take if they feel unwell and have COVID-19 symptoms. All hotel team members are also fully trained on the procedures they must follow should this situation arise.
No, you are not allowed to quarantine at any of our hotels as Travelodge is not participating in the Government hotel quarantine programme. We also do not recommend our hotels are used for self isolation, because Travelodge does not provide room service and take away food delivery drivers are not permitted to deliver food to guest bedrooms as this increases risk to other customers and our hotel teams.
We have started to reopen our Bar Cafes, with the majority open by the end of May. Please check individual hotel web pages where you will see a message in a blue banner if the Bar Cafe remains temporarily closed.
To minimise contact and touch points throughout our hotels, we are no longer able to offer luggage storage. Guests can continue to use their room, including for luggage storage, until 12 noon on the day of departure.
