Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams.
TravelodgeProtect+ is our programme of measures designed to keep our guests and team safe.
Developed by a dedicated cross functional hygiene strategy team, and adopted in all our hotels across the UK, TravelodgeProtect+ gives you peace of mind so you can book and stay with confidence.
All of our Travelodge hotels in the UK are adopting the following practices in line with Government guidance:
For stays in England we request that you wear a face covering (unless exempt) in all public areas of the hotel such as reception, lifts, stairs and corridors.
For stays in Wales or Scotland it is a legal requirement for all guests to wear a face covering (unless exempt) whilst in public areas of the hotel such as reception, lifts, stairs and corridors.

Yes for stays in Wales and Scotland only. As part of the Government's contact tracing programmes (known as Test Trace Protect in Wales and Test & Protect in Scotland) it is a requirement to provide contact details for every guest, over the age of 16, who is booked to stay at Travelodge before you check in to the hotel.
You will receive an email from us either requesting the contact details for everyone in your booking, or where the booking has been made for one person we will email you confirmation of the contact details we have for you.
If you arrive at the hotel without providing contact details you will be asked to provide these at Reception before you check in.
Please note, as it is a mandatory Government requirement for customers staying in hotels in Wales to provide contact details, check in will be refused if these are not provided.
To minimise contact with rooms our housekeeping teams will not enter your bedroom during your stay unless you are staying more than six nights. If you require additional tea and coffee or towels during your stay, please place the top up door hanger provided outside your room to let our teams know.
Our housekeeping team will not enter your room until after you check out, unless you are staying for more than six nights when your room will be cleaned automatically on the seventh day of your stay. If you do not wish to have your room cleaned at all during your stay, please place the Do Not Disturb hanger outside your room.
Our hotel teams are cleaning using antiviral disinfectant proven to kill Coronavirus; and which is certified to European standards EN1276 & EN14476. Our teams are increasing the cleaning frequency of high touch points in public areas and bedrooms such as switches, handles and soft furnishings. All linen and towels are thermally disinfected after every stay.
Our number one priority is the safety and security of our customers and teams. We have strict processes in place that our hotel teams follow when they arrive for work or if they start to show symptoms or if they cannot come in to work.
There is a communication displayed in every room clearly outlining our safety procedures and actions our guests must take if they feel unwell and have COVID-19 symptoms. All hotel team members are also fully trained on the procedures they must follow should this situation arise.
No, you are not allowed to quarantine at any of our hotels as Travelodge is not participating in the Government hotel quarantine programme.
We also do not recommend our hotels are used for self isolation, because Travelodge does not provide room service and take away food delivery drivers are not permitted to deliver food to guest bedrooms as this increases risk to other customers and our hotel teams.
In England, where we have a dedicated luggage storage room, we will accept luggage. Please note that not all of our hotels have a left luggage facility so will be unable to offer luggage storage.
In Wales & Scotland to minimise contact and touch points throughout our hotels, we are unable to offer luggage storage.
Guests can continue to use their room, including for luggage storage, until 12 noon on the day of departure.
