In 1985, Travelodge became the UK’s first budget hotel brand when it opened its first hotel at Barton-under-Needwood. Today, we operate nearly 600 hotels across the UK, Ireland and Spain and annually welcome over 21 million guests.

With a mission to provide affordable travel for everyone, we are currently looking to expand our UK hotel network and we have identified a further 300 locations where we would like to open a Travelodge hotel.

Travelodge employs over 12,000 employees and is dedicated to its purpose of creating an environment where everyone can learn more, earn more and belong.

Our Travelodge rooms
Our rooms have been designed based on feedback from our customers about what they value most in a hotel.

In every room you’ll find the Travelodge Dreamer™ Bed, our luxury king size bed, produced by royal warrant holders Sleepeezee, featuring a mattress with 952 individual pocket springs, each designed to follow the natural contour of an individual’s body in order to provide the correct amount of support and comfort to ensure they receive a good quality night’s sleep. Other features in our rooms include a stylish contemporary en-suite bathroom with shower, a large desk area, handy reading lights and a phone charging socket built into the bed frame. For families travelling with children, and for those adults sharing for a quick overnight trip, we have separate pull-out beds to accommodate two extra people in our family rooms.

Each and every feature in our Travelodge SuperRooms™ has been carefully selected to enhance your stay, from your in-room Lavazza A Modo Mio coffee machine to the Hansgrohe Raindance 3jet adjustable shower. With a choice of firm or soft hypoallergenic pillows, blackout curtains, 32” Samsung Freeview TV and in-room hairdryer, iron & ironing board. Travelodge SuperRooms™ are the perfect choice with added comforts. We have over 2,000 SuperRooms™ across 62 hotels, offering customers a premium economy option, in addition to our amazing value standard room.

Travelodge PLUS hotels give you all the great value you’d expect from a Travelodge, with added style and comforts we think you’ll love. More than 11,000 Travelodge colleagues work together to look after our customers daily.

We have a wide range of roles for people wanting to be part of our team, including front-line guest services, construction and maintenance and a number of positions in our support centre.

All new team members undergo an induction programme to support them in being successful in their role and further training is made available for all team members to progress and advance their careers.

Over more than thirty-five years, we have helped thousands of people grow their careers and make the journey from entry-level jobs to management positions. Our management development programme, ‘Aspire’ is central to our approach, helping candidates secure externally recognised qualifications as well as practical management skills. We currently have many colleagues studying towards apprenticeship and management qualifications, as well as other colleagues developing through professional qualifications and on the job training.
