The pinnacle of Scottish racing

Ayr Racecourse offers both flat and National Hunt racing throughout the season, and has much to recommend it - not least having been awarded Best Racecourse in Scotland and the North East nineteen times by the Racegoers Club. It's home to the Scottish Grand National in April, the Rothesay Stakes in May and the Ayr Gold Cup in September - and many other high-profile races besides.

A breath of fresh Ayr

The coastal town of Ayr is a great place to explore, with a wealth of exciting history. Home to Robert Burns' Birthplace museum, the Burns Monument and Gardens, and Culzean Castle Country Park, there's plenty in the vicinity for those hoping to get out and about.

Venture further afield

Ayrshire is brimming with beautiful lowland countryside, from the stunning, rugged West Coast to Galloway Forest Park towards the south. The hiking opportunities are endless, and there are plenty of cycling tracks to be found - or just venture down some of the country roads and take in the sights.

Planning a trip to Ayr Racecourse? Travelodge Ayr Hotel is close-by, while Travelodge Kilmarnock Hotel isn't much further north. Both offer excellent quality at low prices.
