The University of Bedfordshire in lively Luton
The University of Bedfordshire's main campus is right in the centre of Luton, and its 15,000 plus students give Luton a lively eating, drinking and nightlife scene. Start to the south of the campus, where you'll find a clutch of friendly pubs on, and around, Park Street. Then head to the newly refurbished Metro Bar and Kitchen, within the students' union, for bargain pizzas. Night owls should opt for The Chequers Pub, a student favourite open 'til the early hours on Friday and Saturday.

Hop on the train from Luton and you can get from University of Bedfordshire to London in just half an hour. Or head into the heart of the capital and visit Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.
