Winslow is an attractive historic market town in Buckinghamshire, around 10 miles from Aylesbury. The old church, St Laurence's, is worth a look, and you might also catch the buzzing farmers' market. Perhaps the best way to enjoy Winslow is just by wandering the attractive streets with their mix of Victorian and much older timbered houses. Head to the Market Square for a good selection of shops.
