Discover Durham Tours offer a great introduction to the university for anyone who's interested. Starting in one of the undergraduate colleges, visitors will receive an introductory talk from one of the staff, the prelude to a full tour of the college by current students. Following this, student ambassadors will guide you through the main university site, which will cover major academic and college facilities. Each tour lasts roughly two hours.

Used for various military and political functions since the 11th century, Durham Castle now serves as a home to the students of University College. Come here to learn more about the history of Durham, soak in the majesty of its 200 oil paintings, watercolours and engravings, or learn about its extensive armoury dating back to the English Civil War.
