Explore and shop at Salts Mill

Start exploring Shipley, a town on the River Aire in West Yorkshire, and you'll soon see the skyline is dotted with striking mills, dating back to the industrial revolution. The most famous of these is Salts Mill, just down the road in Saltaire, which has been transformed into a gallery complete with great places to eat, drink and shop. One of the highlights of the Salts Mill is the huge collections of works by the legendary David Hockney. Get hands on at the Science and Media Museum

Take a trip on the tram

The Shipley Glen Cable Tramway is found right by Roberts Park, and is a perfect activity for any family. When you get on the tram, you'll see a board of pictures from the tram's early years.
