Great Torrington, home of Dartington Crystal

Set in rolling countryside in north Devon, this attractive market town has stunning views by the bucketload. Known locally as the Cavalier town, Great Torrington played a significant role in the English Civil War with the Battle of Torrington in 1646. Discover more about its history at the town's museum.
