What to do and see in sunny Bournemouth

Bournemouth Beach has miles of sand plus a pier with lots to do including indoor climbing and, for a total adrenaline-rush, zip wire experience to the beach. Head to the Oceanarium on the seafront to admire the otters, penguins, sharks plus more than 150 fish species, or art-lovers will certainly enjoy a visit to the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum which is home to Rosetti's Venus Verticordia amongst many other art works. Hengistbury Head makes for a lovely bracing walk and come nightfall take your pick from Bournemouth's many lively eateries, bars and clubs.

Explore the south coast and New Forest

Take the ferry or mainland road to the pretty town of Swanage, enjoying a coastal walk at Durlston Head. A bit further on, Kimmeridge Bay has great rockpools and snorkelling.
