A coastal playground at the University of Sussex

Founded in the 1960s, the University of Sussex is in the lively seaside city of Brighton. It's right next to Stanmer Park, with vast open spaces and woodland walks to enjoy, and surrounded by the scenic beauty of the South Downs National Park.

The campus is like a large village, with a bank, post office, library, doctor's surgery, dentist and pharmacy, as well as cafes, bars, restaurants and a weekly food market.

Join the crowd at the Amex Stadium

Opposite the university is the home ground of Brighton and Hove Albion. Soak up the atmosphere at this intimate modern venue on match day as you watch the mighty Seagulls take to the pitch in front of a 32,000-capacity crowd.

If you haven't got tickets for the match, you can go behind the scenes to have a sneak peek at the changing rooms and learn the story behind the stadium's construction.

Stroll along Brighton Pier

No trip to Brighton is complete without a walk down the iconic Victorian pier. Experience traditional seaside food and entertainment here, with fairground attractions, the Palace of Fun arcade, fish and chips and sticky doughnuts to tempt you. And don't forget to pick up a stick of rock as a memento of your visit.
