Step back in time
A small coastal town in the Vale of Glamorgan, Llanwit Major is bursting with history. Meander through its streets of medieval tithe barns, dovecotes, half-ruined Elizabethan manors and even the odd Roman villa. Take a tour of the Nash Point Lighthouse, the last manned lighthouse in Wales, and enjoy stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. On selected dates, St Donat’s Castle opens its doors to the public, giving visitors the opportunity to view its antique ceilings, fireplaces, moat, battlements and dungeons, and explore its manicured Tudor gardens.
