The village of Addington is in the south London borough of Croydon. Here you'll find leafy calm in the environs of spectacular Addington Palace - a historic private events venue - yet with a tram service offering easy access to Croydon and up-market Wimbledon. If you love the great outdoors, preferably with a golf club in hand, you'll find plenty of courses Nearby and with the wide open spaces of Lloyd Park, Selsdon Wood Nature Reserve and Croydon's Wandle Park all in the vicinity you'll be hard pushed to believe you're so close to London.

The Glades Shopping Centre in Bromley has lots of high street names under one roof. Croydon Minster is beautiful and well worth a look, or for more open air fun make your way to Crystal Palace Park, a huge south London green space where you can admire the life-size dinosaurs created by the Victorians and take the kids to the farm and playground.
