A shopper's delight at Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre

The London borough of Ealing in west London is home to a wide variety of shops, many of which can be found in the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre. It's been increasing in size and popularity since it first opened its doors in 1985, and once you've shopped until you've dropped, don't forget to recharge your batteries at one of its many varied eateries.

Hidden gems in Ealing

While in Ealing, remember to check out Walpole Park and Pitzhanger Manor House. The latter, a Grade I listed building, is situated in the former, a 19th century park packed full of amazing ornamental bridges, ponds, streams and a delightfully secluded walled rose garden. It's also a popular spot for various festivals during the summer months.

Ealing's cultural haven

Art lovers should pay a visit to Open Ealing, a converted office block housing studios, classes, workshops, book clubs, exhibitions and cafes across five floors. It's certainly an inventive use for a building that might otherwise have been left to rot.
