The incredible heritage of the University of Greenwich

While it was only granted its formal university status in 1992, the University of Greenwich is an institution steeped in history. Its largest campus sits on the banks of the River Thames and is focused around three stunning 17th century baroque buildings, which form part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Around 38,000 people currently study at the university, which also has campuses in Eltham and Medway.

See stars of all kinds

The location of the university's main campus in the heart of London means it is close to a huge number of attractions. Watch some of the biggest artists in the world perform at The O2, which sits just along the river, or discover stars of a different kind while visiting the world-famous Royal Observatory Greenwich. There is also plenty to uncover about the area's naval history at the National Maritime Museum and the Cutty Sark.

A spot of sightseeing in London

Further afield there is of course a lot more that visitors to the area can get up to. A trip to London simply would not be complete without seeing all of its incredible sights, from the Houses of Parliament and Buckingham Palace to St Paul's Cathedral, Marble Arch and much more.
