Osterley: home to historic Osterley Park

Part of historic Isleworth in London, the stunning district of Osterley is home to Osterley Park, a manor house with a huge, 350-acre stretch of parkland.

Tour the neoclassical villa to see the grandeur of the 18th-century home in all its former glory, and learn about its history from the knowledgeable staff. Afterwards, head to the ornamental gardens for a walk among the herbaceous borders and the lemon trees.

Osterley's closest neighbour Brentford is home to plenty of top London attractions, including The Musical Museum, Syon House and Brentford FC's Griffin Park.

But the jewel in Brentford's crown is the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, which is located just across the River Thames. The 130-hectare site boasts several glasshouses housing everything from giant lily pads to rainforests, as well as acres of sprawling landscaped gardens.

Take the Thames Path to Richmond

From the Nearby town of Isleworth, you can take the Thames Path to Richmond - an unspoilt trail that follows the river as it winds its way towards London.

The 30-minute walk takes you through Kew Gardens to the floodland of Richmond, where you can explore popular sights including Hampton Court Palace, the Orleans House Gallery and the magnificent Richmond Theatre.
