Tolworth - a rough diamond

Tolworth exists in what's known colloquially as the "scrag-end" of Kingston upon Thames - thanks to an old article in the Evening Standard. Thankfully, a lot has improved of late, and Tolworth today is a vastly underrated area. It boasts outer London's tallest building, the 22-storey Tolworth Tower, which is not only home to a Marks & Spencer which was once the largest supermarket in Europe, but also a conveniently placed Travelodge.

Explore Kingston upon Thames

There's a lot to see and do in the Royal borough, including the Museum and History Centre, which is highly rated for its informative exhibits. Meanwhile, Chessington World of Adventures is Nearby, which is a must for parties with kids, while Richmond Park is also local and ideal for a romantic stroll as well as jogging and cycling.

Make the most of London

There's much to the capital that you can always find something to do. For every mainstream attraction such as London Zoo or Buckingham Palace, there's an undiscovered gem along the lines of the Cartoon Museum in Bloomsbury or the Sherlock Holmes Museum in Baker Street. The London Eye, though, is a must.

Planning a trip to Tolworth? Travelodge London Chessington Tolworth Hotel is ideal, situated in the Tolworth Tower, while Travelodge Kingston upon Thames Central Hotel is also worth considering.
