Spring into action in Tunbridge Wells

The town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is known for its spring, which set it apart as a desirable tourist destination over 400 years ago. Now, even so many centuries later, it's still a great place to visit - but the spring is only a part of that. There's a splendid array of stately homes and gardens, plenty of parks and nature reserves, and even some local vineyards.

Shop 'til you drop

The town is renowned for its shopping, with a truly unique array of independent stores and boutiques. Even its famous high-street stores seem somehow classier in the historic High Street, Castle Street and The Pantiles. The latter is particularly recommended for a visit, as it also boasts some delightful cafes.

Make the most of Maidstone

Just under 20 miles north-east of Tunbridge Wells lies Maidstone, a wonderful historic town which is definitely worth a visit. The Nearby Kent Life living museum is a delightful day out, while the town itself has been ranked in the top five shopping centres in the South East.

Planning a trip to Royal Tunbridge Wells? Travelodge Tunbridge Wells Hotel is ideal, offering low rates in a central location. Travelodge Maidstone Central Hotel, meanwhile, is a good option if you plan to explore the county town.
