Edenbridge is the gateway to the beautiful Eden Valley and its many picture-perfect towns. Full of medieval buildings, coaching inns, courtyards and even a water mill, it's an excellent starting point for Eden Valley walking.

A rich heritage

Just 7 minutes drive by car you'll find the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Hever Castle and Gardens houses has one of the best collections of Tudor portraits in the country. Outside, its 125 acres of award-winning grounds include beautiful gardens, mazes, a boating lake and adventure playgrounds. Not to be overlooked is the historic Chiddingstone Castle, with its extensive and unusual collections of art and artefacts. Set in 35 acres of informal gardens with amazing views of the North Downs, its large lawns are ideal for family picnics while its intimate rose gardens and woodlands are perfect for a romantic stroll. Discover local history at the Eden Valley Museum. Enjoy free admission to some fascinating photographic and social history collections about Kent life through the ages.

Lots of things to see and do

If its many gorgeous antique shops don't provide enough shopping options for you, Edenbridge also holds a weekly Thursday market, selling great value fresh produce, plants and flowers, clothing and general wares. The starting point for many valley walks, enjoy a short stroll or a full day's hike through Kent's stunning countryside. And for the more competitive, Edenbridge is home to the Kent & Surrey Golf & Country Club, an 18-hole championship golf course with great clubhouse facilities.
