Sample the sights and sizzling smells of Brixton

Brixton itself is one of the most vibrant parts of London, and Brixton Village Market is the place to go for international cuisine. Although the area is famous for its Caribbean culture, you'll find amazing food from Asia, India and South America here too.

And don't miss the huge Ziggy Stardust mural opposite the Tube station. David Bowie was born in Brixton, and the artwork serves as a tribute to the music legend who died in 2016.

In Brixton, you're not too far from Clapham Common, an oasis of calm amid the busy London traffic. It's popular with joggers, walkers and cyclists, and in summer the bandstand hosts free concerts with deckchairs provided to enjoy the music.
