A step away from the bustle of Liverpool in canalside Bootle

Liverpool's quieter neighbour offers easy reach of many of the area's attractions with Aintree Racecourse, home to the Grand National, just a short drive away. For football fans, Goodison Park and Anfield stadiums are also within easy distance. With current plans for large-scale regeneration there's plenty to explore in Bootle itself with a leisure centre to keep families happy plus New Strand Shopping Centre. Also noteworthy is the Bridle Road Heritage and Education Centre at the HQ of Merseyside Fire & Rescue. Phone and book to admire a large collection of machines, equipment and one of Britain's largest fire & rescue photographic collections.

Lively Liverpool

Its reputation may owe much to football and the Beatles but there's so much more to Liverpool with lots of great museums, shopping and buildings. Head to Albert Dock for a great selection of attractions such as The Beatles Story and the recently opened Mattel Play for little ones. The World Heritage Site is also home to Tate Liverpool plus great shops and restaurants. And if there's a footie game on the city is a great place to catch it with a range of bars offering a fab atmosphere.

Wild times at Knowsley Safari Park

Further afield there's plenty more to see with Knowsley Safari Park Nearby. Safaris are by foot or car with a very popular daily sea lion display. Planning a trip to Bootle? Travelodge Liverpool Stonedale Park Hotel offers convenient access to local attractions or Travelodge Liverpool Docks hotel next to the marina is great for boat lovers.
