Latitude, the bohemian festival

Latitude Festival takes places every July at Henham Park Near the delightful seaside town of Southwold in Suffolk. It's been going for over a decade and has won a reputation for a thoughtful Bohemian vibe with big-name acts appearing on its four stages, plus shows by other artists including comedians, poets, writers and dancers. Previous line-ups have included Damien Rice, Jarvis Cocker and Paloma Faith plus comedy giants such as Dylan Moran and Dara Briain.

Sun yourself in Southwold

The idyllic seaside town of Southwold is around 10 minutes' drive away. Build castles on the sandy beach and wander the traditional pier - there's a golf course in town too for those keen on the game. The town itself has lovely independent boutiques and some good pubs, or for something different catch a film at the small but perfectly formed Electric Picture Palace, a boutique cinema complete with its own organ.
