Modern art in an historic city

University of East Anglia is located on a strikingly modern, yet leafy campus just a 20 minute bus from the city of Norwich. On campus you'll find the Sainsbury's Centre for Visual Art, where work from the likes of Henry Moore and Pablo Picasso are housed in an iconic, Norman Foster-designed building beside the River Yare and dotted about the surrounding countryside. UEA LCR is the students' favourite spot on campus, playing host to a range of nights, from indie bands to pop favourites.

Breathe in Norwich's history

Hop on the bus from University of East Anglia's Earlham campus and you can be in historic Norwich in no time. History buffs should seek out the Norwich 12, a selection of the city's finest historical buidings, from the medieval to the modern. Norwich Castle, which dates back 900 years, and Norwich Cathedral - one of the finest Romanesque churches in Europe - are the city's top sights.

Boat the Broads

Norwich is just a quick drive from the famous Broads. With its vast, flat expanses of green crossed by rivers and streams and dotted with gorgeous windwills, you could easily be in Holland. The best way to explore is to rent a boat and take to the waters yourself or cycle around the mighty River Yare.
