Take a trip to Banham Zoo

Just outside this charming Norfolk market town is Banham Zoo. With more than 1,000 animals to see - from tigers to monkeys - this excellent nature spot is the perfect day out for all the family. Attleborough is filled with history and the best place to take it all in is at St Mary's Church. Originally built in 1100, it was rebuilt by Sir Robert Mortimer in 1436. It includes a 52 foot long rood screen from 1475, an intricately carved 18th Century pulpit and a number of murals and impressive stained glass windows.

Visit the 800 year-old market

Attleborough has been a market town for Nearly as long as it has stood. The first markets were held here in 1226 on a Thursday - and it's still running today.
