Embrace the great outdoors in Cleobury Mortimer

One of the smallest towns in Shropshire, Cleobury is surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Wyre Forest and Clee Hills.

It's a walker's and cyclist's paradise, with miles of footpaths and trails to explore. You can bike along the Jack Mytton Way or even walk all the way to Ludlow town centre via the long-distance footpath.

Explore the Severn Valley by steam train

For more breathtaking scenery, take a nostalgic journey back to the romance of the steam age on board the Severn Valley Railway. You can catch the train from Bewdley or Kidderminster, and travel 16 miles through spectacular countryside to Bridgnorth.

If you want to learn more about the history of Britain's railways, leave the train at Highley. The Engine House has massive locomotives, themed exhibitions and an engine that collided with a camel.

Go wild at West Midland Safari Park

Home to lions, cheetahs, white rhinos, zebras and elephants, this top attraction is a great family day out. As well as taking a self-drive tour of the park, you can also walk to see penguins, a sea lion show and one of the largest flocks of lorikeets in the UK. Your ticket also includes entry to the Land of the Dinosaurs animatronic exhibition.
