Having only opened in 2007, this is one of the newest universities in the UK. The main campus is on Ipswich Waterfront, a lively hub of cafes, bistros and bars where you can watch boats come and go. The university offers state-of-the-art sports labs, specialist bioscience teaching facilities, a film studio and exhibition spaces.
Ipswich town centre is a 10-minute walk away, where you'll find some charming independent shops including Urban Vintage and Zeebra Chic.

If you want to get away from the urban sprawl for a while, this lovely park is just the ticket. Wander among the flower gardens and duck pond, and step inside the museum and art gallery at Christchurch Mansion to see the finest collection of John Constable paintings outside of London.
