Welcome to Small Heath

Small Heath is a moderately sized area in south Birmingham. A historically affluent place, it was developed mainly during the Victorian era, with many wealthy individuals buying houses away from the crowded inner city. It was an important industrial centre during World War II, home to the only factory in the UK that was producing rifles at the time. Today it's a thriving business hub, with two large supermarkets, and a business park with offices for some big businesses.

Enjoy some retail therapy at Sutton Coldfield

Formerly a borough town, Sutton Coldfield is the best place to shop and take some time for yourself outside of Birmingham's city centre. Three shopping centres; The Mall, New Hall Walk, and the Red Rose Centre, have brought various popular brand names into the area, and the streets around it are full of dining and shopping opportunities to suit anyone's tastes.

Take your seat at the Birmingham Hippodrome

The Birmingham Hippodrome holds the title of Britain's most popular single auditorium theatre, welcoming an average of 500,000 patrons per year. Throughout the year, the theatre offers an interesting and eclectic program of productions, including internationally acclaimed ballets and operas, touring musicals, and dramas and comedies spanning a wide range of styles. For an unforgettable dramatic experience in a magnificent venue, look no further than the Hippodrome!
