In 1994, a little show called Friends hit our TV screens by storm.
After ten seasons, over 200 episodes and countless iconic shenanigans (need we mention PIVOT!), this decade-long American sitcom, featuring the beloved characters Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross, truly won our hearts.
Relive the laughs by visiting famed London filming locations that set the scene for that famous moment Ross said the wrong name at the alter (awkward!).
1. Westminster Abbey
Right off the bat, we’re heading to one of the most famous London landmarks on this list, Westminster Abbey. Described by Joey as ‘hands down the best abbey he’s ever seen’, Westminster Abbey is the first stop on Joey and Chandler’s sightseeing tour at the start of ‘The One with Ross’s Wedding’.
Later, Joey returns to Westminster only to bump into the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson AKA ‘Fergie’. The pair then chat as the Duchess makes an iconic appearance on Joey’s camcorder video.
2. London Marriot Hotel

Situated in East London, this dockside spot sets the scene for the unpleasant complication to Ross’ wedding plans. Ross, Monica and Emily can be seen walking down Wapping High Street to discover the couple’s dream wedding venue has been tragically torn down a week ahead of schedule!
Midway through the episode, Joey and Chandler can be seen in Trinity Square Gardens. This scenic spot overlooks the Tower of London and is just a short walk from Tower Bridge.
In the end credits, Joey and Chandler get up to even more shenanigans on an open-top bus tour. While not all London filming locations can be determined in this montage, the pair are famously seen heading over the historic Tower Bridge.
And finally, while this London spot isn’t technically seen in the episode, it is mentioned by the gang upon their return to the Big Apple. Once back in New York, Joey, Chandler and Monica are seen recounting their time in London to Phoebe. In particular, the trio mentions a pub they were taken to by a quirky cab driver, the Wheatsheaf.
