The August bank holiday weekend is the perfect opportunity to squeeze in an end of summer mini break. In a National Park…
…at the Brecon Beacons Summer Fayre. In case the Welsh natural beauty all around you isn’t enough to keep you happy for the weekend, the Visitor Centre at the Brecon Beacons will be full of culture, things to do and some seriously good local food and drink. The Summer Fayre will have all the best Welsh produce on sale, as well as entertainment from a live Welsh folk band, pottery workshops, falconry demonstrations, water colour painting workshops and the opportunity to try wood turning. On the coast…

This summer, the most talked about cultural exhibition is probably the Enid Blyton display at Seven Stories, which is Britain’s only national gallery and archive dedicated to the world of children’s books. Watching the cricket…
…at The Ashes 5th test in Surrey. The bank holiday weekend will see the epic cricket event come to its climax at The Kia Oval. For the bank holiday weekend, the event will be setting up in Dalkeith, just outside of Edinburgh. So if you want to get as muddy as humanly possible, or just watch other people exhaust themselves, why not stay in one of our Edinburgh hotels for the weekend?
