5 ways to cool off this summer

Summer is well and truly here and in true British style, it’s a little hit and miss.

But when the sun does appear, cooling down can be a welcome treat. Here is a list of the top 5 ways to cool off this summer.

1. Treat yourself to something sweet

Freakshake ice cream drinkFrom the humble and classic ice cream to the trendy freakshakes, there’s no shortage of ice-cold sweet treats to cool you down on a hot day. Award-winning and uniquely flavoured ice creams and sorbets can be found at Gelato Gusto in the seaside resort town of Brighton, while London is the place to go for some freakishly good milkshakes. Maxwells in Covent Garden serve up their own creamy concoctions in their ‘freakshake’ menu. Their delicious shakes are adorned with indulgent sweet treats such as ring doughnuts, marshmallows and topped with lashings of chocolate sauce and whipped cream – not one for the faint hearted.

For a more toned down cool refreshment, head to Frurt in Manchester where you can fill your boots with frozen yoghurt and pick your own toppings from a generous menu of sweets, cereals and fresh fruit.
