1.Treat yourself to something sweet
From the humble and classic ice cream, to the trend setting freakshakes taking the UK- and social media- by storm, there’s no shortage of ice cold sweet treats to cool you down on a hot day. Award winning and uniquely flavoured  ice creams and sorbets can be found at Gelato Gusto in the seaside resort town of Brighton, while London is the place to go for some freakishly good milkshakes. Maxwells in Covent Garden serve up their own creamy concoctions in their ‘freakshake’ menu. Their delicious shakes are adorned with indulgent sweet treats such as ring doughnuts, marshmallows and topped with lashings of chocolate sauce and whipped cream- not one for the faint hearted. For a more toned down cool refreshment, head to Frurt in Manchester where you can fill your boots with frozen yogurt and pick your own toppings from a generous menu of sweets, cereals and fresh fruit.

Nestled in the trendy Shoreditch district, London City Beach is just the remedy for those pining for the beachy atmosphere. Featuring all the beach favourites; craft beers, live music, beach bars, palm trees and of course the humble deck chair, it’s no surprise that this is London’s number 1 beach party spot in the summer months. So, kick your shoes off, grab your beach gear and enjoy the best of the beach in the centre of the city. Open only on Saturdays and Sundays between 15th June and the 16th July.
