It’s time to doll-up your diary with these unmissable BarbieĀ® events!
BarbieĀ® fever has taken over the world, with the blockbuster film on course to make over a billion at the box office. It’s time to embrace all things sparkle and glitter and ride this pink summer wave.
We’ve put together the hottest Barbie events happening in the UK, so come on BarbieĀ®, let’s go party!
Now you’ve probably seen the BarbieĀ® movie already, but if you haven’t (or you’re going again obviously!) make sure to do it in style. The Rooftop Film Club offers the ultimate cinema experience, with scrumptious movie snacks, cocktails (or mocktails) to accompany them and incredible views over London. Ensure to dress up in your best pink outfit and gather all your friends for a plastic-fantastic evening. And what’s more, you can bring your pooch along to enjoy the film too!
Australian TV personality Nikki Osborne is heading to Edinburgh Festival Fringe this year to bring you Bad BarbieĀ® – a hilariously honest stand-up comedy performance. Nikki has been described as a love child between Margot Robbie and Steve Irwin, and recently starred in and produced her own TV show, The Bush Blonde vs. The World. So if you’re looking for some laughs this year at Edinburgh Fringe, this is one not to miss – although beware of strong language (this isn’t one for the kids).
Did you hear? Backyard Cinema has a new ‘Miami Beach’ location in Manchester – the perfect place to watch this Summer’s biggest movie! You can sit back and relax on the sand with a cocktail in hand as you watch Ken and BarbieĀ® conquer the real world on screen. Given that Ken’s most recent occupation was simply described as ‘beach’, there couldn’t be a more suitable location to enjoy the film!
Get set to live out your ‘Hot Skating BarbieĀ®’ fantasy at Roller Dome Liverpool. Dress up in your best BarbieĀ® fit, preferably an all-neon look if you want to replicate Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling on Venice Beach, and set the roller dome on fire with your dance moves! Don’t worry if you don’t have your own roller skates, it’s Ā£2.50 to hire skates and all the protective padding equipment you may need.
The 2023 premiere of BarbieĀ® the movie has brought all the BarbieĀ® doll collectors out of the woodwork, and what better way to connect than at the London Doll Meet. Every month the Bunch of Grapes pub in Southwark holds a Doll Meet event for collectors. Whilst this isn’t strictly a BarbieĀ® event (Sindy’s and Bratz are welcome too) we have a feeling amongst the recent BarbieĀ® buzz there will be many pink plastics in attendance.
Grab your mates and get yourself dolled-up for the BarbieĀ® Bottomless Party at Manahatta Leeds. BarbieĀ® Land is coming to the real world, complete with all the pink outfits, decor and entertainment you’d expect from the iconic Mattel universe. Make sure you practise your dance choreography ahead of time to really make an impression. Even Ken will be on hand for the pink celebration, supporting as he always does.
The BarbieĀ® movie has taken the world by storm, delighting viewers with eccentric music and dance scenes (no spoilers!). Wouldn’t it be great to round off the film with a dedicated BarbieĀ® Party? Well, the Magic Lantern Cinema is doing exactly that. Their very own Magic Lantern Band will be performing some pop princess classics and hits from the movie after the screening. It’s going to be a huge celebration featuring Barbie costumes, cocktails and pink glitter of course.
Come on BarbieĀ®, let’s go party! Few have gone untouched by BarbieĀ® fever and the rave scene is no exception. Asylum Birmingham is hosting an event this August purely for the pink princess. Get your groove on all night long in your finest costume and be sure to snap a pic with BarbieĀ® and Ken in the photo booth. Asylum Birmingham is the home of UPRAWR, and with their own Tiki Bar, it’s the perfect spot for channelling Barbie.
It may seem like everyone is a BarbieĀ® fan now, but how well do you really know Mattel’s most famous toy? Head on down to The Old Crown in Birmingham to test your knowledge of all things BarbieĀ®. There will be questions about the new movie (so make sure you’ve seen it first) in addition to classic BarbieĀ® Doll trivia. If you manage to beat the competition, you could earn yourself some iconic prizes, perhaps a Dreamhouse?!
