Coronavirus (COVID-19): Travelodge Update and your FAQs

Travelodge has been obliged to commence the temporary closure of its hotels in line with the instructions from the government on the 24th March 2020.

We do expect to remain open in selected critical locations across the country to support accommodation for emergency workers and other groups.

We will continue to amend this page regularly to keep you updated.

Bookings for stays on or after 16th April

Please refer to the temporary amendments we have made to our terms and conditions below, allowing amendments and cancellations to Saver Rate bookings.

Saver Rate

If you have booked a non-refundable Saver Rate please find your options below:

Cancel Your Booking Online

You can cancel your Saver Rate booking and receive a Saver Rate Cancellation Voucher within the cancellation confirmation email you receive, which is redeemable for the same value as the original booking.

Amend Your Booking Online

If you wish to change your arrival date, you are able to amend your booking online.

To amend your booking date for the same hotel, subject to availability and rates, please visit the Manage Booking section of our website.

If your amended date costs more, all you will have to do is pay the difference in price.

We have waived our usual amend fees for Saver Rates until further notice.

If your booking is after 16th April 2020 and you no longer wish to travel and wish to be reimbursed for your booking, you should consult your travel insurance provider, as we regret we are unable to refund non-refundable rates.

Flex Rate

If you have booked a Flexible Rate, you are entitled to cancel up until noon on the date of arrival and receive a full refund. You can cancel your booking by visiting the Manage Booking section of our website.

Food and beverage

In line with the Government instruction and our commitment to the health and safety of all our customers and hotel team members, we've had to temporarily close our restaurants and bars until further notice.

If you have stayed with us since this date and had pre-booked and already paid for breakfast or dinner, please complete the Food and Beverage Form so we can refund you. Please bear with us, and we'll be in touch regarding affected bookings. Thanks for your understanding.

When you cancel your Saver Rate, we'll send a cancellation confirmation email to the person who made the booking. This email will include the Saver Rate Cancellation voucher code and value. To use your voucher, proceed with your booking as usual on www.travelodge.co.uk and on the basket summary page enter your code in the Discount Code/Voucher box and click Apply which will deduct the value of your voucher.

Saver Rate bookings cannot be refunded. If you have booked a non-refundable Saver Rate and wish to change your arrival date, you are able to amend your booking online at no additional fee up to midday on the day of arrival. No. The WiFi code in your original booking confirmation will remain the same.

You may change the arrival date, room type and/or guest name on a Saver Rate booking and we have waived the amend fee. You will be unable to change the hotel.
