The Royal Military Academy
A small town in Berkshire, Sandhurst is probably best known as the location of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Look out for its annual Heritage Day, when it opens its gates to the public, giving access to many of the historic buildings, as well as putting on a whole host of displays in its stunning grounds.
Family days out
Kids and grown ups alike will love Trilakes Country Park, with its animal park, fishing lakes and indoor children's adventure playworld. A short distance away in Bracknell, you'll find the Look Out Discovery Centre, home to more than 90 interactive science and discovery activities, all waiting to be pulled, pushed or prodded.. Little ones will love to take a ride on a miniature train at Pinewood Miniature Railway, a half mile long track running through a woodland setting.
Sport and leisure
Located less than seven miles from Ascot, Sandhurst is perfect base for keen race-goers attending any of the many events throughout the packed race calendar. For the more adventurous, check out Coraf Reef, a fantastic water park with giant water slides, rapids, an erupting volcano and hissing snakes.
