An event to remember at Hedsor House

An imposing Georgian mansion overlooking the River Thames, Hedsor House dominates the 85-acre park in which it sits, and for many years was a popular destination for members of the royal family. A 45-minute drive from London, it's now an English Heritage property, and is hugely popular as a wedding, events and corporate venue. Members of the public are also invited to its regular open days, where they can explore what this distinguished property has to offer.

A blast from the past at Cliveden

Less than two miles from Hedsor House is Cliveden, an Italianate mansion owned by the National Trust. Take an opportunity to step into the shoes of the famous Astor family who once lived here and used the house as a meeting place for the so-called Cliveden set, an intellectual group, of the 1920s and 1930s. The vibrant formal gardens are spectacular too, and offer fine views of the capital.
