A direct line to London's attractions
Lying between Maidenhead and Slough to the north of the River Thames, this peaceful small town has excellent transport links. It's close to the M4, and Burnham railway station has a direct line to Paddington Station, so you can be exploring the dizzying sights of central London within 45 minutes.

This ancient woodland is famed for its beech and oak trees, many of which are more than 400 years old. Keep your eyes peeled for unusual fungi, plants and wildlife. For more natural beauty, head to Nearby Dorneywood. The 1930s-style gardens of this country retreat of the Chancellor of the Exchequer are spectacular, with aromatic herbaceous borders, a cottage garden and lily pond. Be aware they're not open every day though.
A day out in Windsor
This historic town is a 15-minute drive from Burnham.
