Electronic sounds at Creamfields Festival

Creamfields is an electronic dance music festival based at Daresbury in Cheshire, that's held in August and celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017. Born from the iconic Cream night at Nation club in Liverpool, Creamfields puts DJs centre stage and has won a reputation for spectacular visuals and line-ups featuring some of dance music's biggest names, including Radio 1's Annie Mac.

Animal magic in the surrounding area

Walton Hall and Gardens is a 30-minute walk away, or a couple of minutes in the car, and the perfect place for a stroll in the fresh air. There's a kids' zoo and outdoor games to keep everyone entertained. Take the kids to Gulliver's World Theme Park, around 20 minutes away by car, where they can burn off energy on more than 80 rides, or every animal lover will enjoy a trip to Knowsley Safari Park. Its five-mile safari drive is the longest in Britain and offers the chance to see more than 750 animals, plus there's an aerial extreme adventure for further thrills.

The home of the fab four in Liverpool

You can be in Liverpool in around 40 minutes by car or by taking the train from Warrington. Head to Albert Dock for lots of attractions including the Beatles Story museum, modern art at Tate Liverpool plus Mattel Play! for little ones.
