This historic red sandstone ruin Near Barrow-in-Furness, which dates back to 1123, has lots to explore, including the cloister court, ornately decorated chapter house and kitchen. See the Furness crozier and monk's ring, as well as a remarkable collection of rare stone effigies. The visitor centre tells you all you need to know about the history of the former monastery.
