The training of Naval Officers in Dartmouth goes back to 1863 but the building that stands today dates back to 1905 when King Edward VIII laid the foundation stone and the first cadets entered. HRH The Prince of Wales graduated as Sub Lieutenant in 1971 and this Royal connection is something Dartmouth is hugely proud of.
