About Newton Abbot Railway Station

Newton Abbot Railway Station is the main train station serving the market town of Newton Abbot, Devon. It was opened in 1846 during an extension of the South Devon Railway Company's line from Teignmouth, and for many years was the site of a major locomotive workshop, and a junction for Moretonhampstead.
