An introduction to Blandford Forum

Nestled on the banks of the River Stour, Blandford Forum, often referred to simply as �Blandford�, is a charming Georgian town Near the centre of Dorset. Compared to other settlements in the area, the town is fairly new, as much of it was destroyed by a fire in the 18th century. The Fire Monument in the town centre stands as an acknowledgement of this tragedy, and the town's bright new beginning.

Welcome to Monkey World

Monkey World, located a 20-minute drive from Blandford, is a large rescue centre for primates, and assists governments from around the world to stem the illegal, international smuggling of primates. Here, you can contribute to the centre's good cause with your entry fee, and see five different species of Gibbon, 11 species of monkey, and the largest group of Chimpanzees outside of Africa.
