In and around Hellingly

The sleepy east Sussex village of Hellingly sits just ten miles north of Eastbourne. The White Hart and The Kings Head are two traditional village pubs, whilst further north The Gun offers seasonal British food and lovely countryside views. Head into Eastbourne for a delightful stroll along the seafront or take in a show at the Grade II* listed Congress Theatre. History buffs will love Redoubt Fortress, a well-preserved Napoleonic fortification.

Buzzing Brighton

Just 45 minutes in the car from the village of Hellingsly, bustling Brighton is one of the UK's coolest seaside resorts. Head for the famous Lanes, a charming maze of quirky independent retailers and fashion boutiques. Each year the city plays host the Brighton Pride, with dozens of stunning floats, raucous street parties and world-famous live music acts in Preston Park. During summer, head down to the pebbly beach or test you luck on the arcades at Brighton Pier.
